I would say -''100 people & 100 nature'' Wink
What is priority to some is not necessarily to others. That's why is good to tend to find a balance.

The admins here are doing great job - haven't see so many tourneys as here (exception has been former miniclip as well). And there are new ideas coming just in time.

I do see the point and agree with this

...how will they know what the players want if they don't communicate.

Having hearing for players is not decrement of admin's role and status - it's a chance for development and growth of the site. That's how I look on that at least.

It feels so good to see constructive discussion despite of different opinions in a peaceful,''normal'' way !We might need a thread to see what we would like to see from other players as well.

Before the miniclip players came, there were tournaments non stop and there used to be great weekly trnaments.. cash on wednesday ( i didnt take part in these but, they were relatively successful from what i remember) I know cash isnt around these days but some effort should still be put in.

Additionally the monster cutty race was another Big hit among the players. Maybe if they were to bring this back, some players may return.. Im Not sure, but hey it might be worth a try.

Also TEAMS. although problems occured with teams, when they were around i think it would be fair to say, there were more players on the site. Maybe a team tournament on a monthly basis would attract more players.

Also star tournaments... Were these not supposed to be held on a monthly basis? i know there was one recently for thanksgiving but apart from that, there aint been one in ages.. Only one i can recall before that was the one when HereComeThePain became the overall winner.

Any thoughts?

Just one question do you think in any, way people from other GT site's joining TruGamer has put an effect on the tournaments and events that happen these days?

Just to add..

Altho The population of the site dropped when cashplay was taken away I think what did help many of the old admins lost intrest in the site and therfore the events that was hosted by these admins stopped because of cash play going and events before have been hosted by admins who are no longer around. Altho people do have lives outside of the site and I do think there is players which respect that fact but some come day in day out and host one after another and another and another... I think taking ideas from the forum and putting the time into an event and hosting it instead of hosting 9ball/gin/gin/9ball in a chain ect. would be an attraction to people. But still thanks for the tourneys that are hosted!! bounce cheers cheers Basketball

I think that Trugamer has extreme potential for becoming a extremely busy site but to do this i think we need big events held on a regular basis, maybe every week or fortnight. Making sure there are plenty of points on offer and also to make sure that if someone loses a game they are not out of the running to accumulate a few points. This can be done with Marathons, Event Runs or even timed tourneys for all events.

I know that many of you play here day in and day out and all day or night etc. etc. But have you taken time to think about those who mediate and host tourneys? They are Volunteers! I have seen great admins come and go but always family life is a first. Many have been here for a long time and some are new but lets try and give these guys a break. You may think being an admins role is quite easy, just host a few tourneys and thats it. Let me tell you it isn't like that at all. There is abuse to put up with, constant pressure for community members and much more but they take it in their stride as they must.

Anywho i do agree with you about the tourneys and I'd like to see more Events being played during the week.

I'd like to see a Blue make a Thread in the Forum just for "Tourney Ideas" so the community can have their ideas shown in the public forum but only ideas not chit chat about the Ideas. Make it straight to the Point and thats that.

Once an admin has used this idea I think it would be a great idea for the admin to post it on the forum to show the community that they are seeing and using these ideas.

I implemented your suggestion mate so let's see what good it can bring to increase different tournament ideas and proposals.

Admins and aths almost hit the 1000 tournaments accomplished mark again during November so apart from a few issues about time differences to cover other areas of the world and new tournament ideas no one can ask for a more active team regarding tournaments, they do great that's for sure! cheers

We will do our best to recruite eastern time based admins that can host for you and anyone else based in these times zones. I realise there is a lack of attention for this type of events that would suit american players but as it has appeared that most players on the site is based in GMT zones i.e Europe and the most active hosts do to, it has been logical to plan the events in the GMT timezone to get as much participation as possible.

You are heard misslady among others that has complained about this fact and things are currently in the progress to better offer EST based tournaments as well Smile

Okay, this is going to sound bitter but I will try to make it sound good. All the admins have good ideas. My point was I don't see anyone coming up with any new events at the moment or for the last few months. That was my point in saying GreenEnforcer always hosted top notch tournaments and there will always be the "tournament brains" on the admin team and he was one of these. I think we have some of those right now unfortunately there just aren't any fresh ideas coming out atleast from what the players can tell.

And believe me, family always comes first but if the admin team loses all of its "tournament creative" minds then ultimately they will have to rebuild the team to get these. Otherwise the players will get bored and do something else with their time.

I do not have such a feeling,MavericksMan.Yes,there have been more coming and indeed,GreenEnforcer has been one of "tournament brains" - but much more than that -he has been ''complete'' admin - communicative, stable, providing fun and fair play, with equal approach to everyone,my impression at least...but there are new ideas and events coming just on time to break monotony. It would be unreasonable to expect new idea every single day.

But,I would like to ask something. Does admin has exclusive right on their ideas ? There has been ideas which got forgotten with resignation of the admins. As I do not see why others could not underrun tourney or event in the absence of the initiator of idea & tourney !Call it ''GreenEnforcer team tourney'' for example, but go on with it. Isn't the goal to bring more players and to have satisfied players coming back?

Arghhh,stupid me!

I agree with you gimme. I think we should use some of the previous ideas because we cannot possibly create new things all the time. I remember back when I was first an admin I used some of my fellow admin's ideas and always contributed the idea to them.

I do not expect special events everyday but I definitely don't think 2 special events a month is outrageous to ask. Especially in times like these where the population is not as high and we are trying to attract more players.

Hey gimme,

We have seen some Tourney Brains left and they made Weekly Events/Tourneys which were lot of fun. We can manage to bring them back, post them in the new thread about Tourney Suggestions and we will take over What a Face.

And yes indeed, our goal is not only to bring more players and satisfy them but also to have happy medium so everyone gets a little of everything!
