You may need to check out what you already have on your pc. If you have existing Java downloaded, you need to remove them all first as it causes conflict, restart your pc, then download the new Java version. Also a good idea to check you have the latest shockwave & flashplayer too.
A few weeks ago when i had major probs getting into Tru, i removed all 3 of these from my system, did a full clean up, then downloaded all the latest versions. Just an idea, but it worked for me, hope it helps. Remember also that not always the latest version of Java is suitable for everyone, older versions are sometimes better.

Good Luck....liz

Ok try this.. Click on Start, Search, files and folders..type java and send. It takes a few mins but you should have a whole list of all the Java you have on your pc. From there you can manually right click & delete from your pc.

Good Luck...... liz

I'm not exactly sure what you got there, seems you're not the only one having this problem though and this is what they said when trying to install/uninstall java....

"Are you sure you want to remove J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 from your computer ?"
I clicked 'Yes'.
I got another screen:
"Please wait while Windows configures J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 -Gathering required information. "
I got another screen:
" Internal Error 2753. RegUtils ". I clicked 'OK'.
I got another screen:
"Fatal Error during installation." I clicked 'OK' and was promptly returned to the " Add or remove programs " screen. In other words, at the moment I have no means of uninstalling this Java program.
Please advise me how I may accomplish uninstallation, despite the above circularity.
Besides the 5.0 I mentioned I also have several J2SE Runtime Envoronment 5.0 updates on my list. I have: 10, 11, 4, 6, 8 & 9 as well as an Environment 6 Update 1 & 3 Java™ 6's that are updates 2, 3 & 5. The same error occurs if I try to uninstall any of them.

And to fix this problem you have to download and install:

Microsft's Installer Cleanup Utility Here's the link:

http://download.microsoft.com/download/e/9...1bd/msicuu2.exe

Everything i've come across gives the same solution to fix this problem and every reply i've seen says it's worked.
Hope this helps..........liz

Hi IronOutlaw,
Before i posted the Microsoft link i tried it out, and it worked perfectly. Unfortunately now, for whatever reason, when i tried to download it for my own use, all i'm getting is a blank page Sad
All i can suggest is that you manually delete as i explained before and remove all the Java you have on your pc before trying to reinstall.
My apologies....... liz

Do you got Spyware Terminator by any chance?I had to uninstall it recently(didn't keep it up to date, and it caused me more trouble than use lately)
Also, have you tried to restore your system on date before crashing(when all was working fine)?
