Suppose the player's chance to earn some greenies is just one game only(bc he sucks in others).How many years he need to get a star?

I got my star earning 2000pts just from Snooker tournies cos like u say 'I sucked at the other games', took 3months of pure dedication turning up every night for a toruny, but was worth it (I guess)
I won I think 2 8ball tournies and 1 9 ball tourny as well as as a few points for gin rummy but 90% was from snooker alone. It can be done and as Roy Castle once said 'Dedcations what you need'

So,it was not 1 game after all! (although was majority from all played games!)

Would agree with you ,if - your winnings would not have been based on your skills much more than on luck,as it is the case with gin rummy.Plus,you got big advantage,Lizlaw and Al_green are almost like a clock,you can be almost sure to predict when one or even two snooker tourneys will be on schedule and have better luck to get in ,(not as much interest for it as for gin )!

Don't count on gettin a star unless your on everyday, and joining every tournament. And even at that. The ones that have stars just keep joining and winning more stars. So it's not really how good you are. It's how many hours in the day or night you can be on here trying to win tournaments. ..OH and alot were giving away to other players also. Thats also why there are so many. Happy Gaming

That's part of the challenge.
The first star is definitely tricky to earn, but once you have the first one, it gives you the incentive to earn more, as it becomes easier as their is no 15 points p/day charge.
You have to consider it depends on your determination as a player to earn the star, they don't come free (unless it's some kind of promotion tournament)

Who needs 2 stars???
I did a little math,and I need to win 37,22 times in 16 player tourney to reach 2000 in 90 days,that's 12-13 times per month.
In gin - piece of cake!!!

LOL gimmegimme, The star doesn't give you much more than being green does, except you don't lose your points after the first one. You still reap the rewards, so what I do is join a tourney here or there and when it gets close to turning grey again, I just sign up for a tourney, and if luck has it I might win or become runner up, therefore giving me the same features as a star player. I know hun,but it's good not to worry if I'll get frozen as soon as some "heavy" advert show up (usually when I am in tourney,lucky as I am :p) even thought I got 15 points only.
And where is justice in that some poor mouse has to sweat to get one,listening someone's moaning how many of my time I am spending here (giggling mostly).
